Friday night I found myself in the little four-door winding through the hills of Baroda while listening Shawn MacDonald. The destination: 10931 Hills Road. The goal: see the most wonderful casa girls. It had been six months since our last getaway together and it had been since October that we had been in the same place. The air smelled of Penne pasta and the hugs were long. We talked around the table, chatted in the kitchen, and snuggled on the comfy couch. The eyes started shutting during the movie, and everyone made their way to bed. But the conversations-- enough cannot be said. Politics, marriage, reminiscing, amusing stories, life's trials...everything. Despite the majority of them planning to vote democratic in this coming election, it was wonderful! I only wish we all lived closer to one another.
We're still waiting for the baby. We thought she was going to come on Friday since Suzanne and Travis visited the hospital on Thursday afternoon when the baby's heart-rate was dropping. Fortunately everything went back to normal, and they returned home. She is due on Wednesday, so hopefully this will be the week.
We haven't had a full week of school in quite a while (due to the snow). Hopefully this week is no different! We'll see...
