I don't think I have ever been so into the Christmas season. Despite hating the p.c. term "holiday" that has taken over, I am loving this month! The roads are good, the music is great, the food is delicious, and two weeks off work is hard to beat.
Despite looking forward to break, work is going incredibly well. My fourth hour students have a great dynamic with each other and a maturity beyond their years. Today we talked about the way the media becomes more accessible to a person when they are well read. The allusions are countless that appear everywhere in the media (and even in church when our pastor alluded to The Crucible and John Proctor's famous speech). The challenge now is for me to read for fun, instead of only for school.
This has been a crazy week with searching for a house. Fortunately, we're done for now...
